The Tulip Era (1718-1730) is a period of Ottoman history which is short but at the same time very influential. It is a history page where Sultan Ahmet and Damat İbrahim Pasha took important steps especially in various fields like architecture, printing house, translation, relations with the West.During the Tulip Era, further steps were taken, especially in the case of the printing house coming to the Ottoman lands and speeding up the translation activities and setting up libraries.Later on, it was seen rather as a pleasure and entertainment era.The era ended with a devastating revolt and that made it more important for the artists.Economic problems, the unrest of the people and the janissaries, the failure to take healthy steps in the Iranian War, and some of the changes in social life caused the end of the era with a revolt. With these characteristics, it became one of the historical periods that supported Turkish Literature both during the period and later. This article will focus on how the era reflected on the Turkish theater.
