Özet:

Objective: Verify the profile of the athletes in the transition of amateur to the professional phase, of football clubs from Fortaleza city, about the relation between school and football. Sample: 31 athletes U-17 of two clubs from Fortaleza. Methods: Descriptive-quantitative study, and it has as instrument a closed survey with 38 questions, adapted from Marques and Samulski (2009). Results: It was identified that the athletes showed scholar discrepancy; the players think that it's important to study, but they don't think that it's necessary to play football. About studying and training at the same time, the family gives the biggest support; They don't have support from clubs and schools. It was verified that the athletes have difficulties in conciliation between school and clubs. They see that school is important for a professional future outside football. Conclusion: The clubs, schools and families must find strategies to conciliate studies and the trainings of the athletes.
