Özet:

The aim of this research was to verify the relation between the breastfeeding and the childhood overweight. For that, It was accomplished a scientific literature review between 2002 and 2012 It was searched in the Bireme, Capes, Medline, Nature and Scielo data base. Furthermore, were done others inquiries in an important sites in this area, repository of academic work, books and some consulted articles. Beyond 22 selected articles that are related to the prevalence with the breastfeeding and the overweight, 17 of them to present positive association, even though 13 beyond them were statistically significant with the least occurrence of the overweight. In these researches there are some limitations to highlights such as the studies draws and the mazes biases once that, there are many environment factors which can interact with the increase adiposity process. In that review the relation between breastfeeding and the childhood overweight reveals being positive. Hypotheses about this relation have been raised, beyond them, the metabolic program where the breast milk induce alteration in the infant body and it may prevent against to the overweightin the future. The breast milk composition also is associated to the lest risk to develop overweight because there are fewer protein contend than the other lacteal formulas in another milks and the leptin presence in the breast milk could be influence at the anabolic and catabolic infant pathways.
