Necip Mahfuz began writing historical subjects at the beginning of his literary life and translated the ancient Egyptian book from English in 1932. He later wrote the history of ancient Egypt in the form of a novel as Walter Scott did in the history of his country. He said he had prepared 40 subjects for historical novels and hoped to live until it was completed. The three novels he wrote are: the foolishness of fate in 1939, Radubis in 1943 and the struggle of Tiba in 1944. With the printing of these three novels, it stopped the historical trend in its novels about ancient Egypt history. In the writing of these novels, Mahfuz had no historical purpose. In these three historical novels, he addressed historical philosophy in three stages in order to revive the past. The first is that control of the fate in human nature and human action is ineffective. The second is the control of the inner will and love in man. Finally, the third is the control of the mind over human action, and this action has become a result of the liberation of Egypt and the independence of Heksos from the occupation. The author’s second novel is a romantic historical novel. The third novel is a social novel.
