Toplumsal cinsiyet bugün farklı kimlik, rol ve yaşam tarzlarına bürünerek postmodern çağa eşlik etmektedir. Özellikle cinsel kimliğin ön planda tutularak ticari yaşama katılması, rating ve şov dünyasını ayakta tutan başlıca neden olması yanı sıra editoryal süreçteki kurgulamada da göz önünde bulunan bir unsurdur. Bunun yansıdığı alanlardan biri müziktir. Son dönem kliplerine bakıldığında, şarkıdan çok dikkat çeken unsur şarkıcının klipte sunduğu erotizmdir. Popüler kültürden etkilenen ve içinde bulunan bu kültürü etkileyen dönüşümsel süreç içerisinde pop müzik şarkıcıları, albüm kapaklarından kliplerine değin bedenlerini, yaptıkları çalışmaların ve buna eşlik ettikleri dansın bir unsuru olarak kullanmaktadırlar. Farklı kimlik kalıpları çok çeşitli gibi görünse de aynı mantığın temelinde üretim gerçekleştirmektedir. Dolayısıyla klipler, cinsel kimlik olarak kadın ve erkek bedeninin sunumunun hazırlandığı müziklerden oluşan ve toplumsal cinsiyet kavramını sürekli öne çıkaran bir popülist yapıya kavuşmaktadır. Bu bağlamda çalışma, beden kullanımının pop müzik kliplerinin örnekleri üzerinden göstergebilimsel yöntemle çözümlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bedenin müzikle metalaştırıldığı süreçte, kliplerdeki kadın ve erkek bedeni kategorilerine ayrılan analiz sonucunda, kadın ve erkeğe bakışın toplumsal cinsiyet rollerince farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir.
Social gender is accompanied by the postmodern age today, with different identities, roles and lifestyle. Specifically, taking sexual identity in the forefront is a key factor taking into account the participation in the business life, which keeps the world of rating and show standing, as well as in the organization of the editorial process. One of the areas that it reflects is music. Looking at the recent clips, the element that attracts much more attention than the song is the eroticity that the singer offers in the clip. In the transformation process influenced by popular culture and influenced by this culture, pop music singers use their bodies from album cover to clips as an element of their work and the dance they accompany. Although different identity patterns seem to be very diverse, they perform production on the basis of the same logic. Therefore, clips become a populist structure consisting of music in which the presentation of the female and male body as sexual identity is prepared and constantly highlights the concept of social gender. In this context, the study aims to analyze the use of the body through examples of pop music clips in an indicative method. In the process of metallization of the body with music, the analysis of the women’s and men’s body categories in the clips found that women’s and men’s view was differentiated by social gender roles.
