OBJECTIVES This study was carried out to determine the sleep quality, anxiety and depression levels and affecting factors in cancer caregivers. METHODS 150 of cancer caregiver were included in the study. Data were collected using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, demographic data form and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale. RESULTS Accounted 88.7% had poor sleep quality of caregivers and the average total sleep quality was determined as 9.87±3.95. It were identified in risk of anxiety 46% of caregivers and risk of depression in 72% of caregivers. A statistically significant positive correlation was found between sleep quality score and anxiety and depression levels. CONCLUSION It have been identified that cancer caregivers experienced poor quality of sleep psychological problems like anxiety and depression. Sleep disorders, anxiety and depression were influenced each other.
