Abstract:

Civil aviation has become the most important and preferred form of transport, especially with the Covid-19 epidemic. The civil aviation sector, in addition to having a fragile structure, is relatively expensive compared to other transportation methods. For example, in America, one of the most crowded and developed countries in the world, the factors affecting air transportation have been studied by the ARDL method. In this study, unlike many studies in literature, the number of passengers was modeled as dependent variables, economic growth and exchange rate as independent variables. The study of the 1980-2019 observation period found that economic growth and exchange rate had a positive impact on air transport. When the U.S. economy increases by 1% the air transportation is 0. 29 is increased. On the other hand, currency changes have a long-term positive impact on the number of passengers, while there is no meaningful relationship between the two variables in the short-term. The only factor that affects the number of passengers in the short term is it itself. This situation can be explained by the interaction of air transportation between consumers and the ability of habits to advance income. Advertisements on the positive interaction between passengers of the air transport industry’s institutions etc. It will spread faster with other options in the short term, so in the long term the industry will grow faster.
