After the collapse of Tsarist Russia, the Bolsheviks respected nations in the Soviet Union, which were multinational, multilingual and multi-religious. But they soon built their national policies on a policy of Sovietization in all areas. This manifested itself in the social life as the creation of a new Soviet people. In order to establish the infrastructure of this policy, the education system of the non-Russian peoples was taken up; by closing local schools, one type of Soviet schools were established and the education system was centralized. The Russians were placed at the top of the training and the training was based on the Russian language. In this study, the general situation of education in Soviet Turkmenistan was discussed and the practices of the system of Soviet education in Turkmenistan were covered.
