Giriş: Hemşire hasta etkileşimi klinik hemşirelik uygulamalarının merkezinde olan bir faktördür. COVID-19 pandemi döneminde de hemşire-hasta etkileşimi hemşirelik bakımı için büyük öneme sahiptir. Amaç: Bu çalışma, COVID-19 hastalarına bakım veren hemşirelerin bakım odaklı hemşire hasta etkileşim düzeyini belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı türde olan çalışma bir kamu hastanesinde COVID-19 servis ve yoğun bakım ünitelerinde çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden 154 hemşire ile yapıldı. Çalışmanın verileri “Veri Toplama Formu” ve “Bakım Odaklı Hemşire Hasta Etkileşim Ölçeği” ile toplandı. Bulgular: Hemşirelerin Bakım Odaklı Hemşire Hasta Etkileşim Ölçeği'nden elde ettikleri puanlar değerlendirildiğinde önemlilik, yeterlilik ve uygulanabilirlik boyutlarından elde ettikleri puanlar sırayla 98,9 ± 9,4 puan, 85,0 ± 6,4 puan ve 73,9 ± 4,2 puandı. Hemşirelerin bakım odaklı hemşire hasta etkileşimi önemlilik, yeterlilik ve uygulanabilirlik boyutları ile eğitim durumu arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı fark bulundu (p < 0,05). Önemlilik ve uygulanabilirlik boyutları ile çalıştığı birim arasında ve önemlilik ve yeterlilik boyutları ile meslekte çalışma süresi arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulundu (p < 0,05). Sonuç: Bu çalışmaya göre, hemşirelerin bakım odaklı hemşire hasta etkileşimini son derece önemli ve kendilerini yeterli gördüğü ve uygulanabilirliğin orta derecede olduğu bulundu.
Introduction: Nurse-patient interaction is a main part of clinical nursing practice. During the COVID-19 pandemic, nurse-patient interaction was important for nursing care. Aim: This study was conducted to determine the level of care-oriented nurse-patient interaction of nurses who cared for COVID-19 patients. Method: A descriptive study was conducted with 154 nurses who agreed to participate in the study in the COVID-19 service and intensive care units in a public hospital. The data of the study were collected with the “Data Collection Form” and the “Caring Nurse-Patient Interactions Scale”. Results: When the scores obtained by the nurses from the Caring Nurse-Patient Interactions Scale were evaluated, the scores they obtained from the dimensions of importance, competence, and realistic were 98.9 ± 9.4, 85.0 ± 6.4, 73.9 ± 4.2 points, respectively. A statistically significant difference was found between the importance, competence, and realistic dimensions of nurses' care-oriented nurse-patient interaction and their educational status (p < 0.05). A statistically significant difference was found between the dimensions of importance and realistic with their working unit, and between the dimensions of importance and competence with the working time of nurses (p < 0.05). Conclusion: According to this study, it was found that the nurses considered the care-oriented nurse-patient interaction extremely important, they saw themselves as competence and the realistic was moderate
