Midilli adası 1462 tarihinde Sultan II. Mehmet tarafından Osmanlı topraklarına katılmış boğazlara olan hâkimiyeti, ticaret yolları üzerindeki konumu ve verimli toprakları adayı Osmanlı tarihindeki kilit yerleşim alanlarından birisi haline getirmiştir. Osmanlı yönetimi ile birlikte adada vakıf sistemi de kendisini göstermiştir. Vakıf sayısı Osmanlı egemenliği boyunca hızla artmış ve adayı Osmanlı sistemine bağlayan önemli unsurlardan birisi olmuştur. Yunanistan’ın Bağımsızlık Savaşı, 1877-78 Osmanlı-Rus Savaşı ve ardından yapılan Berlin Kongresi, Balkan Savaşları, 1914-1918 Dünya Savaşı, Kurtuluş Savaşı ve ardından imzalanan Mübadele Protokolü ve Lozan Antlaşması süreçlerinde, Yunanistan’daki Müslüman-Türk nüfus devamlı şekilde Anadolu’ya doğru zorunlu veya kendi istekleriyle bir göçe tabi olmuştur. Bu göç sırasında mübadiller, yanlarında kişisel, taşınabilir eşyalarından mümkün olanları getirebilmişler fakat beş asır boyunca göç edilen bölgelerde oluşturulan vakıf binalarını terk etmek zorunda kalmışlardır. Bu çalışmada, Midilli’de bulunan Osmanlı vakıflarının tasfiye süreci ele alınmış ve bu sürecin işleyişi anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır
The island of Midilli was founded in 1462 by Sultan II. The sovereignty of Mehmet to the holes joined the Ottoman lands, its location on the trade routes and its productive lands made the candidate one of the key settlements in the Ottoman history. With the Ottoman government, the foundation system on the island also showed itself. The foundation number has rapidly increased throughout the Ottoman rule and has become one of the important elements that connects the candidate to the Ottoman system. In the processes of the Greek War of Independence, the 1877-78 Ottoman-Russian War and the followed Berlin Congress, the Balkan Wars, the 1914-1918 World War, the Liberation War and the subsequent signed Exchange Protocol and the Lozan Treaty, the Muslim-Turkish population in Greece has been constantly subjected to a forced or by their own desires immigration to Anadolu. During this migration, the exchangers were able to bring with them the possible personal and portable items, but for five centuries they were forced to leave the foundation buildings built in the migrated areas. In this study, the process of cleaning of the Ottoman foundations in Midilli was discussed and the process was tried to be explained.
