Konaklama işletmelerinden biri olan oteller müşterilerin memnuniyetini arttırmak amacıyla atmosfer unsurlarını etkin şekilde kullanmaktadırlar. Bu unsurlar görsel işaretler, işitsel işaretler, koku, duygusal tepki, bilişsel tepki ve davranışsal tepkiler oluşturmaktadır. Görsel işaretlerden biri olan renkler, otel ile ilgili önemli atmosfer unsurdur. Bu çalışmanın amacını atmosfer unsurlarından biri olan renklerin otel lobilerindeki kullanımının incelenmesi oluşturmaktadır. Bu kapsamda Çanakkale İli Assos Bölgesi’nde bulunan Ali’s Farm Butik Otel & Spa işletmesi örnek olarak seçilmiştir. Otel lobisinin duvar, tavan ve mobilyalarında kullanılan renkler incelenmiştir. Bulgulara göre otelin duvarlarında kullanılan krem renk çok geniş olmayan alanın daha geniş algılanmasını sağlamıştır. Otel duvarlarında kullanılan taşlar ise Kuzey Ege kültürünü yansıtmaktadır. Tavanda kullanılan beyaz renk de yükseklik algısının azalmasına engel olduğu görülmüştür.

Abstract:

Hotels, one of the accommodation companies, effectively use atmospheric elements in order to increase customer satisfaction. These elements consist of visual signs, hearing signs, smell, emotional reactions, cognitive reactions and behavioral reactions. The colors, which are one of the visual signs, are an important atmospheric element related to the hotel. The aim of this study is to study the use of colors, which are one of the atmospheric elements, in the hotel lobbies. In this context, the Ali's Farm Boutique Hotel & Spa business located in the Assos area of Çanakkale is selected as an example. The colors used in the walls, roofs and furniture of the hotel lobby have been studied. According to the findings, the cream used on the walls of the hotel made the colour of the area not too wide a wider perception. The stones used on the walls of the hotel reflect the northern Egean culture. The white color used on the roof has also been shown to prevent the height perception from decreasing.
