Abstract:

In the structural transformation processes accompanying the development of developing countries, it is necessary to pass from labor-hard technology and low added value agricultural production and natural resource-based growth to high added value and advanced technology-based growth. In today’s world where the production process and consumption reached such a global dimension, the demand for agricultural products, which is one of the most compulsory needs of developing economies, should not be neglected. Due to the different added value structures in the production of agricultural products in developed and developing countries, the identification of the factors that determine the current status of emerging economies in agricultural production and the effectiveness of these countries in the sector is the main objective of the study. In this context, the relationship between the economic complexity index, the political stability index, the government effectiveness index and agricultural added value is examined by causality analysis. As a result, the government effectiveness index affects both the economic complexity index and the agricultural added value, while political stability has found a cause to government effectiveness. In addition to the economic complexity index affects the added value of agricultural products, the added value of agricultural products has also found a cause to the government effectiveness index.
