Dünyayı derinden etkileyen Birinci Dünya Savaşı, insanların da hayatlarında ve zihinlerinde de büyük yaralar açmıştır. Savaşın etkilerini bu şekilde hisseden insanlardan biri olan Stefan Zweig “Dünün Dünyası” adlı kitabında kendisini çok olumsuz yönde etkileyen bu savaşı, savaş yıllarındaki dünyayı, kendisinin ve diğer insanların bu savaşa bakışını, savaşın değiştirdiği dünyanın nasıl olduğunu ve Avrupa’nın bu değişimden nasıl etkilendiği ile Hitler’in Nazi rejimi altında ezilen insanların durumunu otobiyografik unsurlarla anlatmaktadır. Kitaptaki otobiyografik unsurlarla anlatılan savaşın, bize yansıttığı dünya, birebir o yılların ağırlığını, olumsuz atmosferini ve karanlık tarafını gözler önüne sermektedir. Çalışmada incelenen “Dünün Dünyası” adlı eserde Zweig’ın hayatına dair gerçeklerle birlikte anlatılan bu zaman diliminin otobiyografik unsurlarla yansımasını nasıl aktardığı bize o yıllara dair somut ve önemli ipuçları vermektedir. Çalışmanın temelinde ise Zweig’ın özel hayatının, o dönemin dünya düzenine karşı duruşunun, savaşa olan net tavrının ve bunların yansımalarının neler olduğu vardır. Bu sebeple ortaya çıkan gerçekler ve otobiyografik unsurlarla bize anlatılan savaş yılları, o dönemin kafamızda daha net şekillenmesini sağlamakta ve adeta tarihe tanıklık hatta kaynaklık etmektedir. Çalışmamızın saç ayağını oluşturan bu unsurlar da bize o dönemin yorumlanması açısından detaylı bilgiler vermektedir.
The First World War, which was deeply influenced by the world, had great injuries in people’s lives and minds. Stefan Zweig, one of the people who felt the effects of the war in this way, in his book "The World of Yesterday" this war, which affects himself very negatively, describes the world in the years of war, his and other people's views of this war, how the world was changed by the war and how Europe was affected by this change and the situation of the people under Hitler's Nazi regime. The world in which the war is described by the autobiographical elements in the book reflects the weight of those years, the negative atmosphere and the dark side. In the work "The World of the Day" studied in the study, it gives us concrete and important clues about the years in which this period of time, which is described along with the facts about Zweig's life, is reflected by autobiographical elements. The basis of the study is what Zweig’s private life, his position against the world order of that time, his clear attitude to the war and their reflections are. The years of war, which are told to us with the facts that arise and autobiographical elements, make that period more clearly shaped in our minds and even give witness to history. These elements that make up the hair foot of our study also give us detailed information in terms of the interpretation of that period.
