Şeyh Seyyîd Abdülkâdir-i Belhi’nin Hayatı, Edebî Kişiliği ve Eserleri

Abstract:

The territory of Afghanistan today is considered to be an important source of the Persian poetry and literature which had its brightest periods in the Persian literature history. Sheikh Sayyed Abd ol-Qader Balkhi, who came to Istanbul in 1861 with his family, and who was one of the sheikhs of Murad Buhari Lodge during the last quarter of the 19th century and the first quarters of the 20th Century, belonged to the aristocrat class with his family like Mawlana Jalaluddin Rumi. Abd ol-Qader Balkhi was the child of a famous sheik family who was also engaged in poetry; and had to migrate to the city of Balk from Anatolia. The Balkhi family, who migrated to Baghdad from Balk with the intention of going to Hajj (pilgrimage), gave up the idea of going to Hajj in Baghdad because of bad conditions at those times; and moved to Konya and then to Istanbul.       In this study, information was given about life, literary personality and works of Sheikh Sayyed Abd ol-Qader Balkhi; and it was also aimed to introduce his manuscript named “Dîvân”. Our article is the firstly study providing information on the new copy of the “Dîvân” in question.
