Abstract:

This study was conducted to identify nurses’ healthy lifestyle behaviors and levels of self-efficiency. The study consisted of 538 nurses working at the Gülhane Hospital of the University of Health Sciences. The data of the study was collected through the Personal Information Form, Healthy Lifestyle Behavior Scale II (SYBDÖ II) and Effectiveness- Qualification Scale (EEC). The SPSS 15.0 package program has been used to analyze the obtained data. After the normality of the data was tested, the Mann Whitney U Test was used in two group comparisons; in three or more groups, the Bonferroni Correctional Kruskall Wallis H Test was used. Relationships between variables are evaluated by Pearson Correlation Analysis. The average age of nurses is 29.66, 54.83 percent are single and 76.77 percent are graduates. 36.3 percent of nurses only work during the day, while others work in the form of a stroke or a vary. The total score average of SYBDÖ II is 132.87±17.42. The health responsibility of nurses working on a daily basis (H=23.151;p=0,000), exercise (H=23.151;p=0,000), stress management (H=31.418;p=0,000) and the total score average of SYBDÖ II (H=23.588;p=0,000) is higher than those in the state of emergency and in the state of emergency. The total score average is 79.67±13.70. Wardy employees are starting to behave, the average score to maintain behavior is higher. Those who have any period of illness have a lower average score in the fight against obstacles (U=9573; p=0.003).
