Abstract:

Throughout history, human beings have left traces of themselves and the culture of the lands in which they lived. The Turkish house has also had a quality that can convey many traces of the culture to which it belongs, both as a plan scheme, materials used, furniture and various arrangements created in the space. The culture, geography and topography to which life belongs constitute the basic features of it. One of the important structures that has survived until today and reflects the traces of the culture to which it belongs is the Tartan Mansion located in Karaman. It witnessed the life of the Tartan family and is a typical example of a Turkish house in terms of spatial planning. Reaching the limited study on it constitutes the necessity of this study. The aim of this research is to evaluate it in the context of their features, to bring it to the literature and to record such an important value. The plan scheme of it was drawn with the method of on-site observation and photography, and it was evaluated according to the characteristics of it in terms of interior elements. This study is important in terms of setting an example for the registration of houses in Karaman province.
