Abstract:

Individual investors play an important role in capital markets. There are many factors affecting the investment decisions of investors. Individual investors are also affected by the decisions of society in which they live. Factors affecting the decisions of investors have a significant impact on the investment decisions taken. Thus, behaviors of individual investors should be examined in terms of psychological and sociological factors. The purpose of this study is to investigate factors affecting the investment decisions of individual investments. In the application of the study, data were collected by performing a questionnaire on individual investors who had invested in the Iraqi Stock Exchange. The data were interpreted by using frequency and percentage analyses in the SPSS 22.0 program. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that there were many factors affecting the investment decisions of individual investors such as risk, financial crisis, financial information and herd psychology.
