Liderlik kavramı, insanlığın var oluşundan itibaren mevcut olan kavramlardan birisidir. İnsanların bir arada yaşama ihtiyaçlarından doğan liderlik kavramı, hayatın her aşamasında tartışılan ve üzerinde araştırmalar yapılan bir konu olmaktadır. Liderlik üzerine yapılan tanımlar incelendiğinde, liderin grup içinde bir kişi olduğu, grup için amaç belirlediği, grup davranışları üzerinde etkili olduğu, grubu yönlendirdiği, grubun amaçlarıyla üyelerin amaçlarını uzlaştırdığı ve bunları da değerlendirdiği görülmektedir. Günümüze kadar yönetim alanında yapılan çalışmalar, liderlik ve liderlik rollerine farklı bakış açıları ve tanımlamalar getirmişlerdir. Liderlik konusu, yönetim alanında araştırma yapan bilim adamları çok yoğun olarak çalıştıkları bir konu olmuştur. Liderlik konusunda 3000’den fazla ampirik araştırma yapılmıştır Bu çalışmada liderlik tanımı ve kuramları incelenerek Yorumlanmıştır.
The concept of leadership is one of the concepts that existed since the existence of mankind. The concept of leadership arising from the needs of people to live together is a topic discussed and researched at every stage of life. When the definitions on leadership are examined, it is seen that the leader is a person within the group, that he defines the goal for the group, that he influences the group’s behavior, that he guides the group, that he harmonizes the goals of the members with the group’s purposes and that he evaluates them. To date, studies in the field of management have brought different perspectives and definitions to leadership and leadership roles. The topic of leadership was a topic that scientists doing research in the field of management worked very intensely. More than 3,000 empirical research on leadership has been conducted in this study is interpreted by studying leadership definitions and theories.
