This research has been planned to search the opinions of the girls about nursing who are in the last classes at high schools. This research has included 416 girls who are in the last classes at high schools which are connected with The Ministry of Education. Data has been collected with a questionnaire which has stated the students’ socio-demographic characteristics, their opinions about nursing, also about nurses and their job preferences. Data have been analyzed by utulizing SPSS for Windows, to obtain result for percentages and Chi Square Test. The average age of the students are 17.0±0.6, their average number of siblings is 3.0±1.65, 85.3 percent of them have a nucleus family, 31.5 percent of them have primary school education fathers, 37.7 percent of them have free-lance working fathers, 39.4 percent of them have primary school education mothers, 85.3 percent of their mothers are housewives, 24.5 percent of their family income is 150-549 TLs., 72.8 percent of think that being a teacher an ideal job for women, 49.3 percent of them have hospital experiences, 71,2 percent of them never prefer nursing was determined. The end of this investigation, it was observed that although the students expressed positive opinions, they still haven’t enough information about nursing.
