Abstract:

Despite all the disadvantages of the COVID 19 epidemic, health workers continue to work actively in the fight against the epidemic. Psychological resistance, which represents re-adaptation to life after difficult life events, has been considered a factor protecting health workers from the difficulties of this epidemic process. Supporting health workers in the continuing epidemic is extremely important for both the protection of their own health and the quality of the service they provide. In this direction, the collection examined the psychosocial effects and psychological resistance of the epidemic-pandemic process on health workers. As a result, the pandemic period determined that health workers’ working conditions were worse, their social lives were limited. Health workers have been identified to experience mental illnesses such as anxiety, disappointment, loneliness, sadness and anxiety disorders, depression, sleep disorders, and they are at risk of posttraumatic stress disorders. They are health care workers who use their skills. Online support programs are recommended.
