Özet:

Abstract The “analytic press” consolidates itself in Latin America in the 70's with the newspaper La Opinión (Argentina, 1971) and the weekly Opinião (Brazil, 1972) in a context of restricted freedom of expression. The innovations were that columns started being signed, there was no editorial space, priority was given to the analysis of a few topics rather than to a variety of information and it was focused on minorities with particular interests. The hallmark that characterized both media vehicles laid in the use of cartoons and image compositions with ironic sense as a strategy to express what could not be put into text. Contemplating such similarities, the proposal is to study the performance of the press in its role of a political actor at the dawn of a censorship period that will leave its mark in the history of Latin American democracy. Author Biography Marina Poggi, Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET) Centro de Estudios de la Argentina Rural (CEAR) Universidad Nacional de Quilmes (UNQ) Marina Poggi es Doctora en Ciencias Sociales y Humanas UNQ, Magíster en Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades (con orientación en Comunicación), Especialista en Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades (con orientación en Comunicación) y Licenciada en Comunicación Social, por la UNQ. Actualmente es Investigadora Asistente de CONICET, profesora auxiliar de la Universidad Nacional de Quilmes (UNQ), y miembro investigador del Centro de Estudios de la Argentina Rural (CEAR) y del Programa Prioritario I+D “La Argentina rural de los siglos XX y XXI. Espacios regionales, transformaciones medioambientales, sujetos sociales y políticas públicas”, ambos radicados en la UNQ.
