Abstract:

The verse history named Fihrist-i Shahân (Index of Kings), written by Solakzâde Hemdemî, one of the 17th-century historians, contains concisely the dates of the enthronement of the sultans, starting from Osman Gazi until the reign of Mehmet IV, and important events in their periods. With this work, Hemdemî was given the first Fihrist-i Shahan in Turkish literature. Addendums to this work were written by many poets both in his period and in the following periods. Zamîrî and Shemîmî are among the poets who wrote an addendum to the Fihrist-i Shahan. In the addendums, which are the subject of our study, Zamîrî tells the cults dates and important events of the sultans up to the reigns of IV Mehmet, II Suleyman, II Ahmet, and II Mustafa respectively, while Shemîmî tells the periods of I Mahmut and III Osman, starting from Ahmet III, who ascended the throne after II Mustafa. In this study, after giving information about Hemdemî and his Fihrist-i Shahân, the addendums of Zamîrî and Shemîmî will be introduced and the transcripted text will be given.
