Foreign body aspiration is an important cause of emergency admission in children younger than 3 years old. Patients may manifest with cough, acute respiratory distress, wheezing and stridor or may be asymptomatic. History, physical examination, radiological imaging and bronchoscopy are used for diagnosis. Subcutaneous emphysema and pneumomediastinum can be seen as complications of bronchoscopy but it is very rare for the foreign body itself to cause these complications. Herein we present a case who was admitted to emergency service because of swelling of the neck due to subcutaneous emphysema, as a rare complication of foreign body aspiration
