Primary squamous cell carcinoma of the gallbladder is very rarely seen and it compromise of 0,5-12 % of all malignant gallbladder tumors. Although rarely seen ,prognosis is quite poor. İt has been thought that there are many causes, mainly cholestasis in its etiology. Clinical symptoms are non-specific. Generally, it is detected. incidentally in patients who underwent operation because of benign gallbladder disease. This article is presented a 66-year-old female patient with chronic cholelithiasis who was operated due to xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis. İn histopathologic examination, primary keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma of the gallbladder was detected. This case was presented because of its rarity
