Müteahhirûn dönemi kelâmını diğer dönemlerden ayıran en önemli göstergelerden biri metafizik meselelerin ele alındığı umûr-ı âmme bahisleridir. Kelâm ilminin Meşşâî felsefeyle etkileşimi neticesinde birçok kavram söz konusu bahislerde kelamcılar eliyle yeniden irdelenmiştir. Bu kavramlar arasında en genel ve en kapsamlı olması sebebiyle varlık kavramı ve varlık kavramının karşıtı sayılması sebebiyle yokluk kavramı ön plana çıkmıştır. Varlıkla ilgili pek çok meselenin işlendiği bu bahislerde varlık kavramına paralel olarak yokluk kavramıyla ilgili de pek çok konu ele alınmıştır. Bu bağlamda yapılan çalışma, ma‘dûmla ilgili işlenen konular arasından ma‘dûmun tasavvuruna bağlı olarak gerçekleşen ma‘dûmun tanımlanabilme imkânıyla ilgili tartışmaları ele almakta ve bu tartışmaları tespit etmeyi amaçlamaktadır.
One of the most important indicators that distinguishes the kalām of the Mutaḥahkhirūn period from other periods is the ʿumūr al-ʿāmma, in which metaphysical issues are discussed. As a result of the interaction of kalām with Peripatetic philosophy, many concepts are re-examined by theologians in these discussions. Among these concepts, the concept of existence, which is the most general and comprehensive one, and the concept of non-existence, which is considered the opposite of existence, come to the fore. In parallel to the concept of existence, many issues related to the concept of non-existence are also discussed in these chapters. In this context, this study aims to identify the discussions on the possibility of defining ma‘dūm, which is realized depending on the conception of ma‘dūm, among the issues related to ma‘dūm and aims to determine these discussions.
