Abstract:

Yüksek lisans ve doktora programlarından oluşan lisansüstü eğitim, lisans eğitiminin tamamlanmasının ardından seçilen bir dalda düzenlenen iki aşamalı öğretim sürecini kapsamaktadır. Lisansüstü eğitim belli bir alanda uzmanlaşmayı amaçlayan eğitimdir. Lisansüstü eğitimin amaçlarına ulaşabilmesi için, eğitimin verildiği alanın içeriklerine uygun programların hazırlanması ve öğrenci ile öğretim üyelerinin işbirliği içerisinde hareket etmeleri gerekmektedir. Bu süreçte öğrencilerin ihtiyaç, beklenti ve görüşlerinin ortaya çıkarılması da programın başarılı olmasında önemli unsurlar olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Bu nedenle bir programa yönelik öğrencilerin görüşleri, o programı hazırlayan ve uygulayanların görüşleri kadar önemli görülmektedir. Bu bağlamda, bu çalışmanın amacı Bilgisayar Öğretimi ve Teknoloji Eğitimi (BÖTE) alanında lisansüstü eğitim alan öğrencilerin lisansüstü eğitime ilişkin görüşlerini ortaya çıkarmak olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda öğrencilerin lisansüstü eğitim alma nedenleri, lisansüstü eğitimden beklentileri, lisansüstü eğitim sürecinde karşılaştıkları sorunlar ve bu sorunlara yönelik çözüm önerilerine ilişkin görüşleri ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda 10’u yüksek lisans, 10’u doktora öğrencisi olmak üzere 20 lisansüstü öğrencisine ulaşılmıştır. Çalışmayla ilgili veriler “Lisansüstü Eğitime İlişkin Görüş Formu” başlıklı bir form aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerden, öğrencilerin lisansüstü eğitimi genel olarak akademik kariyer, bilimsel süreçler, kişisel gelişim ve alanda uzmanlaşma kavramlarıyla bütünleştirdikleri sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The postgraduate education, consisting of master and doctoral programs, covers the two-stage teaching process organized in a selected branch after the completion of the bachelor's education. Graduate education is a training that aims to specialize in a particular field. In order to the objectives of postgraduate education, it is necessary to prepare programs in accordance with the content of the field in which education is provided and to act in cooperation with the student and the faculty members. In this process, the explanation of the needs, expectations and opinions of students is also considered as important elements in the success of the program. Therefore, the opinions of students on a program are considered as important as the opinions of those who prepare and implement that program. In this context, the purpose of this study is to reveal the views of students who receive postgraduate education in the field of Computer Teaching and Technology Education (BÖTE) on postgraduate education. In this regard, students have been attempted to reveal their views on the reasons for graduate education, their expectations from graduate education, the problems they encounter in the postgraduate education process and the solutions to these problems. In line with this objective, 10 graduate students have been achieved, 10 of which are doctoral students and 20 graduate students. The data related to the study was collected through a form entitled "Form of Opinion on Graduate Education". From the obtained data, the conclusion is that graduate education of students is generally integrated with academic career, scientific processes, personal development and the concepts of specialization in the field.

Postgraduate education, which consists of master's and doctoral programs, includes a two-stage teaching process in a selected branch after the undergraduate education. Postgraduate education aims to specialize in a certain field. In order to achieve the aims of postgraduate education, it is necessary to prepare programs suitable for the content of the field in which the education is given and to act in cooperation with the students and faculty members. In this process, revealing the needs, expectations and opinions of the students are considered as important for the success of the program. For this reason, the opinions of the students towards a program are considered as important as the opinions those who prepare and evaluate the program. In this context, the aim of this study is to reveal the opinions of graduate students in the field of Computer Education and Instructional Technology (CEIT) about post-graduate education. In this direction, the students' reasons for receiving post graduate education, their expectations from post-graduate education, the problems they encountered during the postgraduate education process, and their opinions about these problems were tried to be revealed. For this purpose, 20 graduate students were reached, 10 of whom were masters students and others were doctoral students. The data were collected through a form titled “Opinion Form Regarding Postgraduate Education”. From the data obtained, it was concluded that the students generally integrated postgraduate education with the concepts of academic career, scientific processes, personal development and specialization in the field.
