The effort of both families and educational institutions is important for children to acquire read habits. They need to be encouraged to read. In order to understand the importance of reading, students must be supported by the family and the environment in the educational process. The contribution of these positive attitudes to the acquisition of the reading habit is great. The reading habit and the use of the library, which is considered a criterion of development, is an indicator of individual and social development. Nowadays, there is a direct link between the reading habit and the level of well-being of societies. The aim of this study is to provide information on the level of "reading habits and use of school libraries" in Turkey by comparing the study on reading habits and school libraries at national and international levels.
