Bu araştırma, üniversite öğrencilerinin toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliğine dair görüşlerini çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelemeyi hedeflemektedir. Araştırma deseni olarak, nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tarama modeli seçilmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini, 2019-2020 eğitim-öğretim yılında Niğde Ömer Halisdemir Üniversitesi’nde öğrenim gören lisans öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. 2019-2020 eğitim-öğretim yılında Niğde Ömer Halisdemir Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi’ndeki birinci ve son sınıflarda okumakta olan 295 öğrenciye de araştırmanın örneklemi olarak seçilmiştir. Katılımcıların %78.3’ü kadın, %21.7’si erkek öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Toplumsal Cinsiyet Eşitliği Ölçeği (TCEÖ) kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan üniversite öğrencilerinin TCEÖ’den aldıkları puan ortalamasının 25.09±8.26 (min. 13 – max. 61) olduğu bulunmuştur. Bu durum, katılımcıların toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği konusunda genel anlamda eşitlikçi tutuma sahip olduklarını göstermektedir. Cinsiyet değişkeni ile TCEÖ puan ortalaması arasındaki farkın istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu saptanmıştır (p<0.05). TCEÖ puan ortalaması ile medeni durum, evlilik süresi, çocuk durumu, yaş, öğrenim görülen sınıf ve bölüm değişkenleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunamamıştır (p>0.05).
This study aims to examine the views of university students on social gender equality in terms of various variables. As a research model, the scanning model is selected from the quantum research methods. The universe of research is formed by undergraduate students studying at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University in the 2019-2020 educational year. In the 2019-2020 educational year, 295 students who are studying in the first and last classes at the University of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir School of Education were also selected as a sample of the research. 78.3% of the participants are women and 21.7% are male students. The study used the Social Gender Equality Measurement (TCEÖ) as a data collection tool. The average score of students who participated in the study from TCEÖ is 25.09±8.26 (min. 13 to max. It was found 61. This situation shows that participants have a general equal attitude towards gender equality. The difference between the gender variable and the TCEÖ score average is statistically meaningful (p<0.05). There is no statistically meaningful difference between the TCEÖ score average and the civic state, the time of marriage, the child state, the age, the class and the division variables in study (p>0.05).
This study aims to determine the opinions of university students on gender equality in terms of different variables. As the research design, scanning model has been chosen from quantitative research methods. The universe of the study consists of undergraduate students studying at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University in the 2019-2020 academic year. Also, 295 students studying in the first and last grades of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Education Faculty in the 2019-2020 academic year have been chosen as the sample of the study. 78,3% of the participants is female students and 21,7% of the participants is male students. Social Gender Equality Scale has been used as a data collection tool in the study. It has been determined that the average score of the university students participating in the study from the Social Gender Equality Scale is 25.09 ± 8.26 (min. 13 – max. 61). This shows that the participants have an egalitarian attitude towards gender equality in general. It has been identified that the difference between gender variable and Social Gender Equality Scale mean score is statistically significant (p <0.05). It has not been able to be found that there is a statistically meaningful difference between the mean scores of Social Gender Equality Scale and marital status, marriage duration, child status, age, class and department (p>0.05)
