Özet:

Objective: The aim of study is to determining the healthy life style behaviours (HLSBs) and influencıng factors of nurses who work at the university hospital. Methods: This research. which is in descriptive-type, was made during the dates February 15 - March 15. 2010. The research was carried out with the participation of 301 nurses working in the adult services in Ondokuz Mayıs University. Faculty of Medicine. Data were collected by means of “Personal Information Form” and Healthy Lifestyle Behaviours Scale (HLBS); the assessment was carried out via SPSS 11.0 program. Student t test. Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis variance analyses were performed. Results: It was found out that 52.8% of the nurses were in the 21-30 age range. 84.4% did not have a chronic disease. 38.9% had nursing experience of 1-5 years. and 80.4% worked in shifts. The mean HLBS score was 117.3920 ±17.04. The highest mean score was self actualization and the lowest mean score was exercise. The scores of the nurses who were 41 years old and over. who worked in the daytime and those who had 1-5 years of experience had high scores and the differences among them were found to be significant. It was observed that nurses' health perceptions did not influence HLBS scores. Conclusions: The average total score of nurses HLBS was found to be 117.3920 ±17.04 in this study. It is recommended that nurses who have education and consultation roles. The significance of HLSBs should be recognized. and encourage them to use that information in their lives
