ANNELERİN ANNE SÜTÜ VE EMZİRME HAKKINDAKİ BİLGİ DÜZEYLERİNİN BELİRLENMESİ VE EĞİTİMİN ETKİNLİĞİNİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract:

ÖZET Amaç: Anne sütü ile beslenme, bebeklerin  büyüme ve gelişmelerine uygun, tüm beslenme şekillerindenideal beslenme şeklidir. Bu çalışma annelerin anne sütü ve emzirme hakkındaki bilgi düzeylerini belirlemek ve eğitimin etkinliğini değerlendirmek amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Metod: Bu çalışma özel bir hastanenin çocuk polikliniğe 1 Haziran- 30 Ağustos 2015 tarihleri arasında herhangi bir nedenle başvuran, 1-24 aylar arası bebeği olan 120 anne ile görüşülerek yürütüldü. Veriler bilgi formu kullanılarak toplandı. Annelere anne sütü ve emzirmenin önemi, gerekliliği konusunda eğitim verildi. Eğitim öncesinde ve sonrasında bilgi formu annelerin  tümüne uygulandı. Bulgular: Araştırma sonuçlarına göre annelerin %46.7’sinin ilkokul mezunu, %86.7’sinin ev hanımı olduğu, %33.3’ünün 24-28 yaş grubunda bulunduğu, %66.7’sinin de ilk besin olarak anne sütü verdiği saptandı. Eğitim sonrası fark istatistiksel olarak  anlamlı bulundu (p<0.001). Sonuç: Verilen eğitim uygulamasıyla annelerin anne sütü ve emzirmenin önemi ile ilgili farkındalık düzeylerinin arttığı belirlenmiştir. Klinik katkı: Emzirmeye başlama alışkanlığı ülkemizde yaygın olmasına karşın, ek gıdaların erken dönemde verilmesi önemli bir sorundur. Ailelere anne sütü ve emzirmenin önemi hakkında bilgi verilmesi son derece önemlidir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Anne sütü, emzirme, eğitim.             Abstract The determination of the knowledge level related to human  milk and breastfeeding and effectiveness of education Objective: Breastfeeding is the best and optimum nutrition for an infant’s growth and development. This study was carried out to determine the knowledge level related to human  milk and breastfeeding and effectiveness of education. Method: The study  was administered  to 120 mothers of infants between 1-24 months and admitted private hospital of child policlinic between 1 June- 30 August 2015 for any reason. The data was obtained by using informational form.  The mothers evaluated were given an education about the importance and necessity of human milk and breastfeeding. Prior to and following the education mother groups were asked to give the filled informational forms and back to the investigator. Results: According to the results of the study, 46.7% of the mothers were graduates of primary school, 86.7% of them were housewives and, 33.3% of them were between 24-28 years old, the human milk initiation as the first food was 66.7%. Findings were found to be statistically significant after the education (p<0.001). Conclusions: It was seen that the mothers became more aware of the importance of breastfeeding and human milk with the help of this educational activity. Clinical contributions: Breastfeeding is a common practice  in our country, but early introduction of supplementary foods is an important problem. As a results. it is important that parents be informed about the importance of breastfeeding and human milk. Keywords: Human milk, breastfeeding, education.
