Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), although there was no data about the etiology of a definite interaction of genetic and environmental factors, is a complex disease resulting from. Research suggests that it has an important risk factor of an obesity, diabetes, infertility, cardiovascular disease and endometrial cancer. Due to the short and long-term effects, it is an important health problem that affects the women’s life aspect bio-psycho- social.The purpose of the nurses and health professionals are providing a holistic care service which contains physical, psychological, social, emotional, spiritual and sexual needs to the individual. To provide this service, nurses must have the information about the clinical characteristics of women with PCOS and knowledge about health problems caused by the disease. Improving the quality of the woman’s life, under controlling the risk factors and advising the health maintenance, she must fulfill the educational and case-maneger roles.
