Dini inançlar, insanlık tarihi boyunca birey ve toplumlara etki eden bir alana sahip olmayı başarmıştır. Din-insan ilişkisinin bu denli köklü geçmişe sahip olması, iki unsur arasındaki etkileşimin mahiyetini incelenmesini gerekli kılmıştır. Nitekim ilkel dönemlerde tabiat etkisiyle varlık göstermiş olan birçok inanca rastlamak mümkündür. İlkel toplumların yaşamlarının büyük bir kısmının tabiatla iç içe geçmesinden ve hayatlarını buna göre idame ettirmelerinden ötürü doğanın dinî inançları üzerinde kuvvetli bir tesiri olmuştur. İlkel toplumlar tarafından geliştirilen inançlara bakıldığında isimlendirmeler farklı olsa da her birinin ortak noktası belirgin bir şekilde kendini göstermiştir. Söz konusu inançların birçoğunda doğaya ait birtakım güçlerin ön plana çıkarıldığı görülmüştür. Şamanizm, natüralizm, animizm gibi inançlar bunlara örnek teşkil etmektedir. Bu inançlardan biri olan totemizmin ise insanlık tarihinin en eski inançlarından biri olduğu iddia edilmiştir. Totemizmin tarih sahnesindeki konumu kadar günümüzdeki yansımaları da önem arz etmektedir. Zira totemizmin yansımalarına günümüzde dahi rastlamak mümkündür. Totemizme ait ritüelleri gerçekleştiren bireylerin söz konusu inancın mahiyetini bilip bilmedikleri ise soru işareti oluşturmaktadır. Nitekim farklı dinlere mensup olan kişilerin totemizme ait ritüelleri hayatlarında uygulaması kişilerin totemizm akımı hakkında yeterli bilgiye sahip olup olmadığı sorusunu tartışma konusu haline getirmektedir. İnsanların büyük çoğunluğunun semavî dinlere mensup olmasından dolayı totemizme ait uygulamaların vahiy temelli dinlerce nasıl değerlendirildiği önem teşkil etmiştir. Buna istinaden bizde totemizmin kelâmi açıdan incelenmesini uygun bulduk. Semavî dinlerin tamamının totemizme ait bakış açısının incelenmesi güç olmasından dolayı sadece İslâm dininin ilkeleri üzerinden değerlendirmeye çalıştık.
Abstract
Religious beliefs have managed to have an area that affects individuals and societies throughout the history of humanity. The fact that the religion-human relationship has such a deep-rooted history made it necessary to examine the nature of the interaction between the two elements. As a matter of fact, it is possible to come across many beliefs that existed under the influence of nature in Primitive Periods. Nature had a strong influence on their religious beliefs, since most of the lives of primitive societies were intertwined with nature and lived accordingly. When we look at the beliefs developed by primitive societies, although the namings are different, the common point of each of them has clearly manifested itself. In many of these beliefs, it has been seen that some forces of nature are brought to the fore. Beliefs such as shamanism, naturalism and animism are examples of these. One of these beliefs, totemism, has been claimed to be one of the oldest beliefs in human history. Today's reflections are as important as the position of totemism in the historical scene. Because it is possible to see the reflections of totemism even today. It is a question mark whether the individuals who perform the rituals of totemism know the nature of the belief in question. As a matter of fact, the practice of totemistic rituals by people from different religions in their lives makes the question of whether people have sufficient knowledge about the totemism movement or not. Since the majority of people belong to monotheistic religions, it is important how the practices of totemism are evaluated by revelation-based religions. Based on this, we found it appropriate to examine totemism in terms of theology. Since it is difficult to examine the viewpoints of totemism of all the monotheistic religions, we have tried to evaluate only the principles of the religion of Islam.
