Abstract The current social scenario demands the development of the intergenerational theme and its theoretical and practical approach. Cuban society is not exempt from this and this need led us to design an Intergenerational Program with different stages within it. The objective of this work is to present the experiences of the first stage of diagnosis, developed in a sample of young university students from the Faculty of Psychology and with older adults students of the University Chair for the Elderly. The continuous work with both generations has allowed us to characterize the social representation of the generation of belonging and reference, addressing the main emerging conflicts in the relationship, recognizing communication barriers and stimulating the implementation of concrete actions in the areas of development of those involved, promoting from individuality a space for common dialogue. The shared spaces are experiential and the dynamics have the objective of active reflection on the role of intergenerational relations in spaces of social action, in order to promote their constructive transformation. Due to the importance of our results, the topic of Intergenerational Dialogue was introduced in the professional training program of the Cuban psychologist, as well as in the curricular program of universities for older adults in our country; In addition, it allowed us to move on to the next stage of the Intergenerational Program related to the formation of competencies for a constructive development of the Intergenerational Dialogue.
