Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to determine the correlation between organizational socialization and loneliness in business life conditions of Turkish (language) and Turkish culture teachers working in the state of Baden Württemberg, Germany and to specify whether this circumstance indicates a significant difference, according to demographic variables. The research which was performed with relational screening model was conducted in the 2016-2017 academic year with 246 Turkish (language) and Turkish Culture Teachers working in 1442 educational institutions on behalf of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Education in the State of Baden Württemberg, Germany. According to the results from the research, teachers’ organizational socialization level in sub-dimensions of job satisfaction and motivation was measured as “occasionally”, and in organizational commitment and acceptance as “to a great extent” level. It is concluded from the results of the Loneliness at Work Scale that teachers’ perceptions of emotional deprivation and social companionship are at “intermediate (medium level)”. According to the correlation results between scales, there is a medium-level negative relation (negative correlation /inverse correlation). With reference to this result, it can be assumed that loneliness is inversely proportional to socialization when socialization increases, loneliness in business life decreases.
