The Cittaslow movement, conceptualized as a calm city in Turkey, is defined as a sustainable local development movement. This movement is about friendly development, protecting cultural values, developing with technology and using only local elements. This movement, which originated in Italy, is the continuation of the Slow food movement, which has emerged as a reaction to global food chains destroying local delicacies. The Cittaslow movement, an organization that includes 220 cities from 30 countries in the world today, is focused on sustainability. In this study, a survey was carried out in Yalvac, one of the 14 Cittaslow cities in Turkey that included the environmental, cultural and economic development dimension of the Cittaslow and the Cittaslow. The survey was conducted with a total of 251 people in 2016. As a result of the surveys, it has been revealed that being a Cittaslow contributes to Yalvaç in the protection of the environment and cultural values but does not contribute to economic and development. This study was carried out within the framework of the project "Research on Determining the Slow Cities' Analysis in the Context of Environmental Communication, Environmental Community Participation, Cooperation and Reconciliation Strategies in Slow Cities" supported by TUBITAK with the number 113K624.
