Cep telefonları, dijitalleşen dünya ile insan hayatı üzerinde doğrudan etkisi olan başlıca ürünler arasında yer almaktadır. Günlük yaşamda kolaylık sağlayan ve vazgeçilmez unsurlarından biri olan cep telefonları, bazı insanlarda bağımlılık ve kaygıya sebep olmaktadır. ‘No Mobile Phobia’ terimi de bu noktada karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu araştırma, dijitalleşen dünya ile etkileşiminin daha yoğun olarak belirtildiği Y Kuşağı (1981-1994) ve Z Kuşağı (1995-1999) çalışanların cep telefonları ile bağlarını kaybetme korkusuna (nomofobi) nasıl tepki verdiklerini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, İstanbul ilinde Mayıs ve Ağustos 2021 tarihlerinde Covid-19 nedeniyle medya ve e-ticaret sektöründe evden çalışan Y ve Z kuşağı çalışanları oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri, çevrimiçi anket yöntemiyle basit tesadüfî örnekleme yoluyla seçilen gönüllü katılımcılardan elde edilmiştir. Toplam 130 katılımcıdan toplanan veriler t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi ve çoklu regresyon kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Teknoloji ile etkileşimi diğer kuşaklara göre daha yoğun olan Y ve Z kuşağı çalışanlarında, cep telefonları ile bağlantılarını kaybetme korkusundan çok fazla etkilenmediği belirlenmiştir. Evden bağımsız olarak işlerini tamamlayan çalışanların daha üretken oldukları ve cep telefonu bağlantılarını kaybetme kaygısı yaşamadıkları söylenebilir. Çalışmanın bulgularının, bu bağlamda alan yazına önemli bir katkı sağlayacağı öngörülmektedir.
Mobile phones are among the main products that have a direct impact on the digital world and human life. Mobile phones, one of the easy and indispensable elements in everyday life, cause addiction and anxiety in some people. The term ‘No Mobile Phobia’ also comes to us at this point. This study aims to reveal how employees of the Y Generation (1981-1994) and the Z Generation (1995-1999) react to the fear of losing their connections with their mobile phones (nomofobia), where their interaction with the digitalized world is more intense. The study’s work group consists of Y and Z-generation employees working from home in the media and e-commerce sector due to Covid-19 in May and August 2021 in Istanbul. The research data was obtained from volunteers selected through simple random sampling through the online survey method. Data collected from a total of 130 participants were analyzed using t-test, one-way variance analysis and multiple regression. In the Y and Z generations of employees, who are more intensely interacting with technology than other generations, it has been found that they are not much affected by the fear of losing their connections with their mobile phones. It can be said that employees who complete their work independently of home are more productive and do not experience the fear of losing their cell phone connections. The findings of the study are expected to make a significant contribution to the field writing in this context.

Even though they are a necessary part of daily life, some people get addicted to and experience anxiety because of their mobile phones. At this point, the phrase "No Mobile Phobia" also occurs. This study intends to shed light on how members of Generations Y (1981–1984) and Z (1995–1999), whose involvement with the digital world is more intense, respond to the anxiety of losing their mobile phone connection (nomophobia). The study group of the research consists of Y and Z generations employees who work from home in the media and e-commerce sector in İstanbul in May and August 2021 due to covid-19. The data for the research were obtaned from volunteer participants selected by simple random sampling with the online survey method. The data collected from a total of 130 participants via analyzed using the t-test, one-way analysis of varience, and multiple regression. It has been determined that employee from the Y and Z generations, whoe interactions with technology are more intense than those of the other generations, are not severely impacted by their fear of losing connectivity with their mobile phones. It can be inferred that workers who complete their tasks independently from home are more productive and do not experience anxiety over losing their mobile phone connection. The study’s findings are anticipated to make a significant contribution to the literature in this context.
