Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to reveal whether the demographic characteristics of the residential business employees make differences over presentism levels and whether presentism has an impact on work satisfaction and its subcomponents. The universe of the research is made up of employees of five-star hotel companies that operate in Antalya. The study used an survey form consisting of three sections, including questions to determine the individual characteristics of employees and the presentism scale and the job satisfaction scale. For the assessments made through the 426 survey, the percentage and the results obtained from the analysis of frequency, t test, Anova test, correlation analysis and one-variant regression analysis were interpreted in the light of the field text. The research finds that gender and civic status are determining on the presentism level. It has also been determined that presentism affects employees at different levels on the general, internal and external levels of work satisfaction.
