OBJECTIVE: To demonstrate the reliability and validity of the organizational citizenship level scale on physicians. METHODS: The subjects of the study were physicians employed in Ministry of Health hospitals in Istanbul, Turkey. For the sampling, physicians who worked in a total of four hospitals (two on the European side of Istanbul and two on the Asian side) with #8805;100 bed capacities were selected randomly. After selection, the Organizational Citizenship Level Scales were given to the physicians working in these hospitals. Percentage, item total score correlation, exploratory factor analysis and Cronbach’s alpha coefficient were used for data analyses. RESULTS: The total score correlation values of the items in the scale were found to be between 0.29 and 0.7; the scale was separated into four factor groups different from the original scale, and the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient total was found to be 0.90. CONCLUSION: The results showed that the Organizational Citizenship Level Scale was a reliable and valid tool to be used on physicians.
