Bu çalışma, 1916-1919 yıllarına ait kayıtları içeren Erzincan C-55 nolu Şer’iyye Sicili ışığında Osmanlı Devleti’nin son döneminde Erzincan’da sosyal hayatla ilgili bazı konulara değinmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu çerçevede 19. yüzyıl sonu ile 20. yüzyıl başında Erzincan’da aile yaşantısı, miras taksimi, Müslüman toplum ile gayr-ı müslim kesimler arasındaki ilişkiler ve asayiş sorunları gibi konular üzerinde durulmuştur. Defterimizde yüz kızartıcı veya toplum düzenini bozan suçları konu edinen belgeler bulunmamıştır. Bu durum dönemin toplum yapısı hakkında, genel ahlak ve toplum düzenine uyulduğu sonucunu çıkarmamıza yardımcı olmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın Osmanlı Devleti’nin son dönemlerindeki Erzincan’ın sosyal ve kültürel hayatını ortaya çıkarmada katkı sağlayacağını ummaktayız.
This study aims to point to some issues related to social life in Erzincan in the last period of the Ottoman State in the light of the Erzincan C-55 Sherry register, which contains records of the years 1916-1919. In this framework, at the end of the 19th century and early the 20th century in Erzincan was focused on topics such as family life, inheritance taxation, relations between the Muslim society and non-Muslim sections and assurance issues. There is no documentation in our book about the crimes that violate the social order or the crime that violate the social order. This situation helps us find the conclusion about the social structure of the time, that it is consistent with the general morality and social order. We hope that this work will contribute to the social and cultural life of Erzincan in the last periods of the Ottoman State.
