Abstract:

Social exclusion is the exclusion from society of individuals qualified as disadvantaged groups such as children, elderly, disabled, immigrants, prisoners. Social inclusion is a concept that describes the participation of disadvantaged groups in social life. The aim of the study is to understand what parents with autistic children feel when they are part of a community. In the research that dealt with the quality data collection technique, structured conversation technique has been used. As a data collection tool, a structured conversation form has been used. The study included families of participants in the Izot İzmir Autism Orchestra and the Corso as an example of social inclusion. The sample consists of 22 women (88%) and 3 men (12%) of a total of 25 people. Each family was consulted with a single parent, and it was advised to be consulted with the parent who brought the child to the coro work. The research finds that being a part of a community reduces social exclusion of autistic families.

Sosyal dışlanma; çocuklar, yaşlılar, engelliler, göçmenler, hükümlüler gibi dezavantajlı grup olarak nitelendirilen bireylerin toplumdan soyutlanmasıdır. Sosyal içerme, dezavantajlı grupların toplumsal hayata katılmalarını anlatan bir kavramdır. Çalışmanın amacı, otizmli çocuğu olan ebeveynlerin bir topluluğun parçası olduklarında, hissettiklerini anlamaktır. Nitel veri toplama tekniği ele alınan araştırmada, yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak, yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya, sosyal içerme örneği olarak İZOT İzmir Otizm Orkestrası ve Korosu’ndaki katılımcıların aileleri katılmıştır. Örneklem 22 kadın (%88) ve 3’ü erkek (%12) toplam 25 kişiden oluşmaktadır. Her aileden tek ebeveynle görüşülmüş olup, çocuğu koro çalışmalarına getiren ebeveynle görüşülmeye dikkat edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, bir topluluğun parçası olmanın otizmli ailelerin sosyal dışlanmalarını azalttığı sonucuna varılmıştır.
