Dance is an art, considered a physical activity, because it works because it works the components of physical fitness, modifying the kinanthropometric aspects. The objective of this research was to evaluate the physical capacity of classical ballet dancers, street dance and gym dance. This is a quantitative descriptive research. The sample consisted of 16 dancers, 7 men and 9 women (21.63 ± 2.5 years). The individuals underwent three types of evaluation: morphological (body composition, body mass and height); neuromuscular (flexibility and strength); and metabolic (aerobic capacity). In addition, the participants answered a collection questionnaire with PAR-Q and afterwards performed the morphological and neuromuscular evaluations, after 7 days they performed the metabolic evaluation. After all the tests have been performed, the obtained data were analyzed in Software Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS), version 21.0, through descriptive and inferential statistics, with significance of 95%. The research groups showed results within the average, but the data were not significant in all tests performed. We conclude that the dance modalities studied develop physical fitness, regardless of the dance modality performed.
