In recent years, the construction of a solar power plant (GES) has gained rapidity in order to meet our country’s increasing energy needs. The right place choosing of high-cost GESs is also important for the country’s economy. For this reason, prior investment work should be carried out carefully. The location selection studies are based on the Geographic Information Systems (CBS) and can be analyzed according to important criteria, and they are advantageous in decision making. According to the 4 criteria of the existing GES in Burdur, which has a high rate of use of solar energy in this study, the spatial conformity analysis in the CBS environment was carried out by the Method of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). In general, GESs are made in the areas suitable for investment, only 1 facility around the Grand Canyon is determined to be made in the area not suitable.
Solar Power Plant (SPP) construction work has gained speed in order to meet the increasing energy needs of our country in recent years. It is important for the country's economy to make the right choice of SPP site location due to its high cost. Therefore, pre-investment studies should be done carefully. The fact that site selection studies are based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and can be analyzed according to important criteria gives an advantage in decision making. In this study, the spatial conformity analysis based on 4 criteria of the existing SPP in Burdur province, which has a high rate of utilization of solar energy, was carried out by Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method in GIS environment. In general, it is determined that SPPs are invested in suitable areas for investment but only 1 facility in Büyükyaka was built in unsuitable area.
