Vadeli borçta peşin ödeme karışlığında indirim yapılmasının (الوضع والتعجيل) caiz olup olmayacağı meselesi çalışmamızın ana mevzudur. Cumhur söz konusu indirimi vadenin satın alınması olarak kabul etmiş ve bunu da cahiliye ribâsı çerçevesinde değerlendirerek haram kılmıştır. Bazı fakîhler ise böyle bir indirimi tarafların menfaati olarak düşünmüş ve meseleyi indirim sulhu (صلح الحطيطة) bağlamında değerlendirerek helal görmüşlerdir. Bu konudaki ihtilafların temel nedeni muteariz iki hadisin bulunmasıdır. Makalede erken ödeme indirimi muamelesinin şer‘î hükmüne ilişkin fukahânın yaklaşımları ortaya konulmuştur. Bu bağlamda konunun mahiyeti ile ilgili bilgi verildikten sonra söz konusu iki hadisin sened tahlili yapılarak konu açıklığa kavuşturulmaya çalışılmıştır. Ardından fakîhlerin görüşleri gerekçeleriyle birlikte değerlendirilerek tercihe şayan görüş tespit edilemeye gayret edilmiştir. Bu meyanda söz konusu muamelenin cahiliye ribâsı ile ilişkisinin olup olmadığı da belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır.
