This article discusses the points in James Joyce’s novel Ulysses and Derrida’s structural views in which literature and philosophy interfere with the absolute meaning (origin) and language issue of the critical reading culture. The story of the Babylonian Tower, which deals with the issue of origin, although the meaning is fixed on the absolute root, when Ulysses is read in this context, it appears that it contains imagery that the origin is multi-significant. In this regard, Ulysses was read along with Derrida's work as a structural text on the criticism of origin. Contrary to the speech about the existence of the origin in the Babylon Tower, the contexts of another cultural and linguistic experience, which exceeds the metaphysics of existence in Western philosophy, in the same way as the Derridacus language perspective, have been identified in Ulysses.
