Amaç: Flört şiddeti, kişilerarası şiddet türlerinden olup ve çiftlerin flört ilişkisinde birbirlerine karşı sözel, cinsel, duygusal ve fiziksel şiddet ya da şiddet içeren davranışlar uygulaması ve birbirlerinin davranışlarına sosyal kısıtlamalar getirmesidir. Araştırmanın amacı Aydın Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi öğrencilerinin flört şiddeti kapsamındaki davranışlara ilişkin görüşlerinin belirlenmesidir. Yöntem: Araştırma tanımlayıcı tipte olup, 20.12.2018-20.01.2019 tarihleri arasında Aydın Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi’nde eğitimini sürdüren ve araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 348 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın verileri araştırmacılar tarafından ilgili literatür incelenerek geliştirilen “Katılımcı Bilgi Formu” ve geçerlik ve güvenirliği Yumuşak ve Şahin (2014) tarafından yapılan “Flörtte Şiddete Yönelik Tutum Ölçekleri” kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 15.0 paket programından yararlanarak değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmada kullanılan ölçeklerin iç tutarlılık katsayıları 0.86 ile 0.84 arasında bulunmuştur. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 21.03±2.05 (18-32) yıl, %65.2’si kadın olduğu, %32.2’si 3. sınıf öğrencisi, %55.7’sinin fen bilimleri alanında eğitim gördüğü, %57.2’si evde kaldığı belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin %32.2’sinin babası, %30.5’inin annesi lise mezunudur. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin %83.6’sının daha önce %45.7’sinin şuan flört ilişkisinin olduğu saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin flörtü ile en sık tartışma nedeni kıskançlık (%22.9) olarak belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin Flörtte Şiddete Yönelik Tutum Ölçekleri puanlarına göre; Erkeğin Flörtte Uyguladığı Psikolojik Şiddete Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması 28.39±8.07 (12-64), Erkeğin Flörtte Uyguladığı Fiziksel Şiddete Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması 18.54±8.07 (12-54), Kadının Flörtte Uyguladığı Psikolojik Şiddete Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması 20.96±8.08 (11-51), Kadının Flörtte Uyguladığı Fiziksel Şiddete Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması 21.92±8.50 (12-47) dır. Sonuç: Bu bulgulara bağlı olarak erkek öğrencilerin flörtte fizikselden daha çok psikolojik şiddet, kadın öğrencilerin ise flörtte psikolojik şiddetten daha fazla fiziksel şiddet uygulama eğiliminde oldukları saptanmıştır.
Flirting violence is one of the types of interpersonal violence and is that couples apply verbal, sexual, emotional and physical violence or violent behaviors towards each other during the relationship and impose social restrictions on each other’s behaviors. The aim of the study is to specify the opinions of Aydin Adnan Menderes University students on behaviors within the scope of flirting violence. Methods: The study was cross-sectional and was carried out with 348 students, who studied at Aydın Adnan Menderes University between 20.12.2018 and 20.01.2019 and accepted to participate in the research. The data of the study were taken from the "Participant Information Form" developed by the researchers by reviewing the relevant literature, and "Attitude Scales Towards Violence In Flirt" which was approved of validity and accuracy by Yumuşak and Shahin (2014). The data were evaluated by using SPSS 15.0 package program. The internal consistency coefficients of the scales used in the study were found between 0.86 and 0.84. Results: The average age of the students who participated in the study, was determined as 21.03 ± 2.05 (18-32) years, 65.2% of them were female, 32.2% of them were students of 3rd grade in the university, 55.7% of them were educated in the field of science and 57.2% were at home. The fathers of 32.2% of the students and the mothers of 30. Five of the students were high school graduates. It was found that 83.6% of the students who participated in the study had previously flirting while 45.7% of the students in a relationship. The reason for the most frequent discussion with the students was jealousy (22.9%). The most common reason for the argument of the students with their flirts was found as jealousy (22.9%). The results according to scores of Students' Attitude Scales Towards Violence In Flirt can be listed as follows; the total point average of Attitude Scales Towards Psychological Violence Applied by a Male In Flirt is 28.39±8.07 (12-64); the total point average of Attitude Scales Towards Physical Violence Applied by a Male In Flirt is 18.54±8. 07 (12-54); the total point average of Attitude Scales Towards Psychological Violence Applied by a Female In Flirt is 20.96±8.08 (11-51); the total point average of Attitude Scales Towards Physical Violence Applied by a Female In Flirt is 21.92±8.50 (12-47). Conclusion: According to these findings, it was detected that male students are in tendency to apply to psychological violence rather than physical violence in flirting where female students are in tendency to apply physical violence rather than psychological violence.
