Kelimeler söylenmek istenen düşüncelerin, duyguların ve tutumların göstergesidir. Bireyin kendini ifade edebilmesinde ve iletişiminde kelimelerin önemi büyüktür. Temel dil becerilerinin etkili olarak kullanılmasında ve geliştirilmesinde söz varlığının belirleyici bir etkisi bulunmaktadır. Bundan dolayı bireylere kelime öğretmede ve öğretilen kelimeyietkin olarak kullanmada Türkçe dersinin ve öğretmenlerinin rolü büyüktür. Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkçe öğretmenlerinin kelime öğretiminde kullandıkları yöntem ve teknikleribelirlemek ve elde edilen bulgular ışığında kelime öğretiminde öğretmenlere katkı sağlamaktır. Nitel araştırma modelinin kullanıldığı bu çalışmanın örneklemini Kütahya ilinde görev yapan 35 Türkçe öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Elde edilen veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniğiyle toplanmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniğiyle toplanan veriler betimsel ve içerik analizi tekniğiyle incelenmiştir. Çalışmada Türkçe öğretmenlerinin kullandığı kelime öğretim yöntemleri; sözlük kullanma, kelime defteri, kelime duvarı, bulmaca, oyunla öğretim, resim çizdirme, tekerleme ve tabu olarak belirlenmiştir.
Words are indicators of the thoughts, feelings and attitudes to be said. The importance of words in the person’s ability to express and communicate is great. Speech existence has a determining effect on the effective use and development of basic language skills. Therefore, the role of the Turkish class and teachers in teaching and using the word taught to individuals is great. The aim of this study is to identify the methods and techniques that Turkish teachers use in the word teaching and to contribute to the teachers in the word teaching in the light of the findings obtained. The examples of this study used by the quality research model are made up of 35 Turkish teachers working in the province of Kütahya. The data obtained was collected using a semi-configured interview technique. The data collected using the semi-configured conversation technique is studied using the visual and content analysis technique. In the study, the word teaching methods used by the Turkish teachers were defined as: the use of dictionary, the dictionary, the word wall, the puzzle, the teaching with the game, the drawing, the rolling and the taboo.
