Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to develop a valid and reliable Likert type scale to measure attitudes toward national park. A 50 item draft attitude scale with different dimension was applied to 189 middle school 8 th class students who live near the Honaz National Park in Denizli. The data were analyzed by SPSS software. The construct validity of the scale was established through Factor Analysis. The instrument consists of two dimensions. Reliability analysis of the instrument revealed Cronbach-Alpha coefficients for the first dimension 0.88, for the second dimension 0.75. According to findings 17 items are deleted from the designed scale. Attitude scale became available after providing its reliability and validity.
