INTRODUCTION: The aim of this study is to evaluate the public health educational program student's feedback at Balıkesir University’s Balıkesir School of Health, Department of Midwifery MATERIALS AND METHODS: This descriptive study was carried out on midwifery students (n=40) who had taken public health education. The data of the research was collected from student’s feedback forms. Feedback form was constructed using the five point likert type scale. SPSS 16.0 package was used in evaluation of the data. The data of the research was evaluated as numbers and percentages. FINDINGS: Ninety-two point five to 97.5 % of students were agreed with the statement about history taking, physical examination and training and consulting of antenatal care. Ninety-five percent of them indicated that their skills in history taking during infant follow-up, training and counseling to the mother, making a physical examination increased. Ninety-two point five per cent of the students have thought that the things they learn will be beneficial in their future professional lives. Most of the students indicated that place and the duration of the skill training was adequate. In respect to feeling of competency, 92.5% of the students reported they felt themselves competent after the education. CONCLUSION: Most of the student reported positive feedback about the antenatal care, infant follow-up, assessment of training and trainers. The results of this study have shown the satisfaction of students about public health educational program.
