In this study, the effect of cutting tool overhang length on the tool wear, cutting forces and burr formation was investigated during micro-milling of Inconel 718 superalloy. Slot machining experiments were conducted at constant values of spindle speed, feed and depth of cut values. Three different values of cutting tool overhang length were selected, namely 10, 15 and 20 mm. Reduction in the diameter of cutting tool was chosen as a measure of tool wear. Average forces at x and y directions were recorded as force. Burr width occurred on the top of slot after machining was measured at both down and up milling side. From experimental results, it was found that the reduction in tool diameter increased with increasing overhang length. Force and burr width values increased with the increase in overhang length
