This study was conducted in the Kars central district and villages in the eastern Anadolu region of Turkey in 2015-2016, and the study was aimed at determining high-quality coconut genotypes in terms of fruit quality and trees characteristics from the seed cultivated coconut (Juglans regia L.) population. According to observations and evaluations conducted over two years, 16 coconut genotypes have been selected as hopeful. In the selected genotypes, the average fruit weight is 10.14-14.98 g, the internal weight is 5.01-8.08 g, the internal ratio is 41.58-60.20% and the skin thickness is 2.00-4.53 mm. In 25% of hopeful genotypes, the inner color is “open”, in 62.50% it is “yellow” and in 33.33% it is “blue”. All of the genotypes selected are round in terms of fruit shape and in terms of fruit irility are included in the extra quality class. There are 12 genotypes that are protondrial and 4 genotypes that are protogenic. It is recommended that the selected genotypes may be used as parents for future maling and healing studies.
